Dex Labs is expanding our engineering team and is looking for a Junior Electrical & Mechanical Engineer with a strong interest in circuit board (PCB) design and hardware development. You will work on designing, prototyping, and supporting electronic and mechanical systems for innovative products.

Key Responsibilities

• Discuss project requirements with the engineering team, including specifications, schematics, and design revisions.
• Assist in the design, layout, and review of circuit boards (schematic capture and PCB layout).
• Support integration of electronic circuits with mechanical components and enclosures.
• Work closely with senior engineers to follow established design standards, documentation practices, and workflows.
• Assist in prototyping, testing, debugging, and validating electronic and mechanical systems.
• Prepare basic technical documentation, BOMs, and design reports.

Requirements

• Good communication and organizational skills; detail oriented.
• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field OR a strong project portfolio.
• Entry-level to 1+ years of experience in electronics, PCB design, or related engineering projects (internship or academic projects acceptable).
• Basic knowledge of circuit design, electronic components, and reading schematics.
• Familiarity with PCB design tools (e.g. Altium, KiCad, Eagle, or similar) is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of mechanical drawings, tolerances, or CAD tools is a plus.
• Able to handle multiple tasks and learn quickly in a team-based environment.
• Willing to follow engineering standards, design guidelines, and review processes set by senior engineers.

Pay Scale

• Junior: RM 2,200 – RM 3,400
• Mid Level: RM 3,600 – RM 6,400
• Senior: RM 7,000 – RM 11,000
